  Overlooking
beautiful Lake Chatuge in the north Georgia mountains, this recreation area
offers camping, boating, fishing and hiking. Thirty campsites are nestled in a
forest of oaks and dogwood with a few pines scattered in.  Each site has
a tent pad, grill lantern post, and picnic table.

Note no hookups of any kind are available -
  dry camping only.

  The campground
consists of a single loop just shy of a mile long.  Most campsites are on
the outer edge of the loop and overlook the lake.

  As you begin your
trip around the loop you find  a building at about the 1/4 mile point
which provides Men's and Women's flush toilets.  At about the 1/2 mile
point is the bath house.  This building also has  Men's and Women's
flush toilets as well as a single cold water shower on each side (men's and
women's).  At about the 3/4 mile point are men's and women's vault
toilets.  Due to their location these only service the last couple of
  campsites.

  Fresh water is
available at the first and second buildings only.

  A public boat ramp
is available at the park.  The park sits on a peninsula in Lake Chatuge
and only the access road connects to the mainland.  A trail follows the
lake edge and surrounds all of the sites.
