Comments:
  This
was our maiden voyage in our 2005 Fleetwood Niagara.  The weekend was
used to test most of the  systems in the pop-up.

  The park is
located in northwestern South Carolina on the eastern edge of the Sumter
National Forest, and sits on the banks of Lake Jacassee. The 622 acre park is
one of the newest in South Carolina created in 1990. Lake Jacassee was created
in 1973 by the Duke Power Company for hydroelectric power generation. Three
dams, Jacassee, Keowee, and Little River feed the 7,565 acre lake.

  The park has 59
forested campsites, eight of which are directly on the shores of the lake. All
sites have paved pads, electrical and water hookups, a grill, fire rings and
picnic tables.   Most of the sites are very long, allowing campers
to park not only an RV but a boat also.

  Modern, heated,
bathroom facilities with hot showers are conveniently located between the two
campgrounds.  Being only about 15 years old, the bath houses are
beginning to look like they need a little work, but for a quick shower in the
morning they were fine.  Even with the abundance of "walk in tent
sites" the bat houses never seemed busy.  Unusual
in a state park, the bath house also has laundry facilities.

  Handicapped Availability:

  Handicapped only
sites are available for reservation.  It was noted that there was an
attempt at handicap facilities in the bath houses.  This included one
toilet stall with wide doors and grab bars as well as showers with no lip,
allowing "roll in" ability.  The fold down shower seat was
noted to be home made and in poor condition.
