  This
was our maiden voyage for 2003!  This is a park close to Washington DC
operated by The Maryland-National Capital Park and
Planning Commission . The  Little
Bennett Regional Park website boasts "Each of Little Bennett's 91 campsites offers a tranquil
setting with ample opportunities to enjoy the scenic splendor of the park.
Campsite amenities include a parking pad, a picnic table and barbecue grill.
Comfort stations with sinks, showers, toilet facilities, and drinking fountains
are located within walking distance. Water spigots are randomly located
throughout each camping loop. A limited number of campsites are available with
electrical hookups."   The description is correct.  Many of
the sites are very roomy.  Only loop "D" has electric, so make
reservations.  Even dry camping, many of the sites in the non electric
loops would be difficult to use for an RV or pop up, so ask about the site
  configuration when making reservations.

When we visited the comfort stations
were not open yet, so I cannot comment on the interior, but if it is as nice
as the exterior, they are probably wonderful.  Loops "B",
"C" and "D" share a comfort station, so I would imagine it
can get busy during peak hours.

  Most rules are
common to all campgrounds, but they do advise that no alcohol of any type is
  allowed.

  Handicapped Availability:

  Several sites (it
appears 1 per loop) are marked for handicapped use.  Looking closely at
the sites marked for handicapped use I can not see any difference form regular
sites.  The ground cover is loose stones and grass/soil.  Wheelchair
  use would be difficult.
