Comments:
  This trip could
be listed on the 04 or 05 journal as it started new years eve and continued on
  until the 4th of January.

  We were looking
for a nice place to stop and unwind on the way to  Fort Wilderness
  (Disney World).

This is a gem in the Florida Park
system consisting of 59 site s in two loops.  All sites are large and can
handle any size camping unit. While there is not a lot of understory, the size
of the sites makes up for it.  Each site is level and offers water and
electric hook-ups with at least 30 amp service (6 sites have 50 amp service).
All sites have fire rings, a barbecue grill and a picnic table. Also available
is a separate dump station for holding tanks.

After getting off I-75 its about a 20
minute trip to the park.  It was a little disconcerting at first because
you drive through the heart of Ocala, but the park is worth the drive.
Beautiful clean bathhouses with hot showers, pave roads for biking and trails
  for hiking.
